I was lucky enough to receive a sample pack from Tetra Pak of organic foods. The pack included Pacific Foods Organic Chicken Simply Stock, Pacific Foods Organic Jellied Cranberry Sauce, and Pacific Foods Organic Pumpkin Puree. photo 795e421d-1ec8-414e-b1b8-dde8f5f23ded_zps62983f0a.jpg photo d1d52bb8-c150-4f19-9a7c-b8c9ab3c8df3_zpsac6b75dd.jpg photo 62adf36b-e1dc-4d93-98c1-aa80d97a468d_zps600d562e.jpg
Organic food is good not only for the lack of preservatives and other harmful chemicals, but also for how much it helps the environment. You may think that recycling or buying organic isn’t really making a difference, but if hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of people are doing it then it is a huge global impact. This saves landfills, pollution and not to mention gross trash that ends up polluting the ocean.
Tetra Pak cartons are actually made from 70% paper, which is a renewable resource. They select and regrow trees that are FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council). Not only are cartons much easier to open than canned goods–in fact, I am sure my can opener hates me–they actually use only 1/3 of the packaging a can does or even an egg carton.
Tetra Pak cartons are easy to store and easy to open. The cartons are also re-sealable for easy storage. They stack well and save space. Take a look at the few ingredients on my products. They each have no more than 4. There are no preservatives, which results in improved health for you and your family. It also creates 60% less landfill waste than canned goods. Don’t let the size fool you. You can actually get quite a few meals out of this as well. Use it for pumpkin pie, green bean casserole and cranberry loafs!
