Beginner 1×1 Ribbed Dishcloth {free knitting pattern}

1×1 Ribbed Dishcloth [Ravel-It!]

This is a dishcloth I started making from this Lion Brand pattern, and ended up with something different. It’s very simple, great beginner cloth. I’m not sure if it has been done before. You could even make these and sell them online for a home-based business as they work up so fast!! Here is the pattern:

Size 7 knitting needles
Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn
yarn needle

cast on 46
rows 1 & 2: knit across
every row, until the last 2 rows: knit 2, *knit 1, purl 1; repeat from * across to last 2 stitches, knit 2.
last 2 rows: knit across

  2. bOK but how many rows to complete the dishcloth.not very good instructions for a beginner.I have been making them to give away was just looking for something different.Ann,masona_@hotmail.com

  3. As many as you want 🙂 Most people probably do 50ish, I’d say. It’s been a while since I’ve done a washcloth, however.

      I do about the same amount..and double the stitches and make a longer one for a matching tea towel
