Time to Start Planning Your Gardening Projects

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Miracle-Gro has started an awesome campaign to help “green become green thumbs”. The Gro Project is made to inspire gardeners of all levels to come up with fun garden projects this Spring. If you check out and like their Facebook page, they have a bunch of fun downloads including free wordpress themes, tumblr themes, wallpapers and posters. I may even try out one of their wordpress themes on my vegetable gardening site!

Being the crafter that I am, I am in love with their Origami Garden project. You even get to macrame the plant hanger!
All you need is:
  • Scissors and Glue
  • Cardboard
  • Sturdy rope (ie polyprop rope)
  • Metal hanging ring
  • Small plant (i would totally do a vegetable plant here to make it fun AND resourceful)
  • Miracle
  • Origami Instructions (download on their Facebook page)
  • Macrame Instructions (download on their Facebook page)
  • Shake’n Feed All Purpose Plant Food
  • Moisture Control Potting Mix

Then you just cut the origami pattern and glue it together. Macrame the plant hanger (try out a fun neon color for Summer!). Fill the container with the potting mix and transfer your plant.

They also feature a Toyranium project that is perfect for kids and a ukulele garden planter, which is totally unique!

Don’t forget to check out Miracle-Gro online for full access to a wide array of articles and videos, gardening tips (helpful to beginners and pros alike), online tools and information to help problem solve common gardening problems.
