Spring Clean

Spring is traditionally the season when we get all our cleaning done. Giving your home a very thorough deep clean will make it all nice and fresh, ready for summer. As well as the usual dusting and hoovering, now is the time to give your house a deep clean. Call out carpet cleaners to work their magic on your floors. Get right to the back of the oven and scrub off every inch of burnt-on food. Go through all your linen and throw out any that is worn or torn.

D.I.Y

Got a few wonky roof tiles that your partner has meant to sort out for the past few months? Make him see to them now before summer is here. If you wait to do any D.I.Y. until summer, you will be more likely to procrastinate and put small jobs off. After all, who wants to be working on the house when it’s really sunny outside? If you don’t want to tackle home maintenance yourself, call out the experts to give you a hand!

Get The Pool Ready

Clean your pool so it’s ready for you to dive into once the sun comes out! As well as cleaning out any dead leaves, check it over to see if it requires any work on it. If you notice a leak, there are ways you can prevent your pool from losing water. If you drained it for over winter, now is the perfect time to refill it. Before you do, give the inside walls and floor a quick clean.

Get Gardening

In the summer months, gardens become popular spaces for socialising. You’ll want to make sure your garden really sings! Therefore, it’s best to get working on it right away. Many plants need planting during the spring, so now is the time to do all your sowing. Mow the lawn and get rid of any weeds. Why not think about buying some new garden furniture or a pretty water feature as well?

Air Your Linens

Cloths and materials can begin to smell stuffy after months of being in the stale air. You won’t have got the chance to air your linens in winter as you will have more than likely kept all your windows shut. Now that temperatures are starting to increase, open all your windows and let some fresh air into your home. Take out all your linens from your cupboards and hang them outside. After a few hours, you can bring them back in and put them away. They’ll be fresher than ever!

Now you can begin to look forward to summer!
