Guys, it’s time we talked about houses and technology. We are truly living in a golden age of tech and home living. I was watching a comedian recently. He was joking about how parents could throw an iPad at to their children and have the home to themselves for a few hours. This joke illustrates my point perfectly. Tech and Home Living have been combined beautifully to make a science fiction dream come true. The final result is the smart home. If you don’t know what a smart home is, then allow me to elaborate.
In relation to technology “smart” always means it does more than it should or is expected to do. For instance right now, you might be wearing on your wrist, a smart watch. This trend hasn’t exactly caught on, so I doubt it. But bear with me. A watch used to be for telling the time. If you bought an apple watch you can use it to send messages, receive messages and monitor your heart rate. Okay, so what exactly do you get from a smart home?
Cool Personal Tech
The first thing you’ll notice about a smart home is how responsive it is. They often have smart controls implemented into the design. This means that you can tell the home how you’d like it to be lit or your ideal temperature. You’ll be able to talk to the home like you talk to a phone or even a person. I know, it sounds too good to be true. But look them up and you’ll find that these homes, they’re already on the market. They’re waiting to be bought often in planned communities. The Best Security
Here’s a fun fact. There is a village in India where none of the buildings have doors. I love that they have this much trust in people but I don’t There’s too many valuable items in my home, including my family! I want the best home security that money can buy. Guess what? The best security money can buy is part of the smart home design. They have automated locks, often using fingerprint technology. I’m not talking about the tech you’ll find on the new iPhone either. This is the real deal and will keep anyone who’s not supposed to be there out of your home. It could even alert you when someone entered your home while you were out.
Your Design, Your Rules
But I think the coolest thing about smart homes is that they are designed to change. They can be adapted easily as your family grows. If you need to, you can make sure that you have more space. Or, you can change the layout of the home completely. Due to the way these houses are built, you’ll never feel the need to move again.
