But you will get significantly more energy from a ground pump than an air pump. For every one unit of electricity you use to power the pump, you’ll get three units of heat energy.
Improve Your Insulation
One of the easiest ways to make your home a little warmer and cut down your energy usage is to insulate your home. This is because the insulation stops that precious heat from escaping out of your home, and that keeps it warmer for longer. If you haven’t had new insulation fitted for years, you should get it done.
You can do it by yourself, or you can get a professional to do it for you. But whichever option you choose, the process will be pretty inexpensive to complete. And the money you save, especially during the winter, will far exceed the cost it takes to have the insulation installed.
