If you live in PA (like me!) or want to visit PA (a great place to go for roadtrips, but I guess I am biased), then you should check out the Roadtrip-a-Matic, which has pre loaded road trips for many types of experiences. There are a bunch on here that I would love to see and didn’t even know about, and I am native to PA! The site, pa-roadtrips, has many features, including:
- an email list
- a PA vacation guide
- rest stop locations
- local resources
- welcome centers
- PA Pursuits magazine
Destinations include:
- Civil War trails and memorials
- artisan trails
- romantic getaways
- Northern Appalacia
- scenic byroutes
- and more
It is also a great guide for us Pennsylvanians because it keeps you up to date on happenings such as outdoor events, shopping, attractions, etc.
Being from the Harrisburg area, I would recommend to anyone to stop by Hershey, PA and check out Hersheypark and Chocolate world. They just put in a new coaster this year and it is 200 feet at one point!
Being the craft nerd that I am, I would love to check out the artisan trails. I didn’t even know they existed! Apparently there is glass blowing (awesome!), pottery, quilters and the like. I love seeing other’s work and inspiration. If you select the artisan trails option on the site, it gives you a map and directions. How cool is that?
