Vampire Knits {Book Review}

One good thing about my kindle (aka Kindy) dying is that it has forced me to renew my love of the library and book stores. Electronics can make us forget the wonderful feel of a book in our hands. Being the huge True Blood, Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and anything else urban fantasy fan, I just HAD to check this book out. I just love how the vampire nerdiness is incorporated into each an every project. The book also incorporates fun trivia and quizzes as well! If you are a Vampire nerd AND knitter, this book is a must have, in my humble opinion!

Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Pulse Protectors (hand warmers)
  • projects with silver yarn (as we know how toxic it is to vampires!)
  • Bellissima Mittens (the mittens Bella was wearing in Twilight when Edward saved her life the first time)
  • Vampire Diary Protector (cute!)
  • The Prim Reaper’s Corset (inspired by Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
  • Sidhe Lace Shrug (it’s ADORABLE) and Sidhe are faerie lore based.
  • Got Blood? Pillow
  • Totes where you can advertise Team Edward, Team Jacob or any other Team (There’s a whole alphabet!)
  • Blood Bottle Cozies (Are you an A-, O+? Don’t worry, You can advertise any blood preference!)
A noteworthy comment: A portion of the proceeds from this book go to The Red Cross!
