Remove everything from your garage

Fix insulation boards to the walls

Raise your floor
There is no getting away from the fact that your garage floor is going to get cold. You can stop that from happening by adding wooden joists to the floor and raising the surface. You can use the same insulation boards to create a barrier. Just lay some floorboards over the top, and you’re good to go.
Add fittings and switches
Your child is going to need electricity in their converted garage. So, you’ll need to run wires from the inside of your property into their renovated space. Make sure you add at least two plug sockets and the main light fitting in the center of the ceiling.
Once you’ve done all that, you just need to decorate the room in some child-friendly colors. Girls love pink; boys love blue – that’s pretty much all you need to know.
