Stand Up For Family video series, created by AmFam (American Family Insurance)is hilarious. I was watching it with my boyfriend and we were getting such a kick out of it! Most of the videos are about childhood so it really brought back some good memories. There are 5 stand up comedians (Bill Bellamy, Rodney Perry, Mark Viera, Donnell Rawlings, and Tony Roberts) who talk about childhood and life.
Our favorite was Bill Bellamy. We especially liked “Respect.” Check it out! Bill Bellamy also talks about how kids used to be able to stay out all day and play. It’s so true, I knew it was time to be home when the street lights kicked on in the neighborhood. Eye begging is hilarious as well.
That’s not the case so much in this society anymore, unfortunately. As much as our mothers (and other family members) drove us nuts, they instilled manners and morals in us, essentially making us who we are today. I would not automatically say excuse me when I bump into somoene in public if it weren’t for my mother’s constant reminder. We are just putty waiting to be molded into who we are going to be when we are children.
