Ombre Crochet Love Bracelet {diy}

crochet love bracelet

I love the curved connector bracelets – words, crosses, evil eye, etc. I decided to try crocheting on in lieu of the popular macrame versions. The straps aren’t as stiff as I used cotton thread to make them. My thread created an ombre effect, but you could do stripes, solid colors, etc.

crochet love bracelet suppliesSupplies:

crochet thread or embroidery floss
7/1.65mm hook
curved love connector (or other curved connector of your choice)

clasp (optional)

sl st thread to one side of the love connector.

crochet love bracelet 3

ch until it reaches slightly less than halfway around the bottom of your wrist. (you can always add an extender chain, so I’d go a little too small rather than too big, unless you’re using elastic.)

crochet love bracelet 4

count the stitches for reference on the other side. (mine was about 18 ch but i have pretty small wrists.)
crochet love bracelet 5

sc back to the love connector.

sew in ends. I looped the end around the connector to give it extra durability. crochet love bracelet 7

repeat on other side.

add a lobster clasp (or clasp of your choice)

Variation Ideas:
crochet longer and tie closed instead of clasp
use embroidery floss instead of crochet thread
add seed beads along crochet straps
