I came across a Nest Egg Pendant tutorial on That’s What {Che} Said and with my mother’s birthday being tomorrow (what a procrastinator, I know!), I decided it would make the perfect gift. We had talked a bit about doing something similar for my grandmother and I figured it would be a nice touch for her on my limited budget. I just happened to have glass pearls the same colors as my sister, my mom and my birthstones, so it was meant to be! (I added her in to make it 3, because 2 just doesn’t look right to me). I also added a feather charm.
Think she’ll like it?
I also did one for the hubbies mom for a Christmas gift. I mean, what a thoughtful gift for moms, right??!!

Update: Here is another pattern from Sarah Ortega Photography where you start opposite, with the pearls first. I haven’t tried it yet myself, but I plan to soon! Interesting.
