Inspiralized Book Review

First off, this book has amazing and beautiful food photography that makes me hungry just looking at it. I was so inspired by Inspiralized (get it?) that I ordered a spiralizer and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Who doesn’t love zucchini and spaghetti. Combine the two for a healthy meal AND still getting your “pasta” fix. I’m half Italian so pasta and I go hand in hand. Written by Ali Maffucci, this book features paleo, gluten-free, low carb, and raw food options.

The book is a great resource, telling you the nutritional value of vegetable “pasta”, which blades and sizes to use for which type of veggie, and even making spiralized rice. The recipes do not include butter, mayo, dairy milk, cream, sugar, cream cheese, or white bread.  Look at the names of just a few of the recipes in this book and tell me your mouth isn’t watering:

  • Blueberry Sweet Potato Waffles
  • Cucumber Avacado and Strawberry Salsa
  • Apples with Shaved Asparagus, Gorgonzola and Pecans
  • Spicy Shrimp Lettuce Wraps with Coconut-Lime Jicama Rice
  • Vegetarian Carrot Enchilada Bake
  • Chocolate Chip Sweet Potato Muffins

I mean these are yummy recipes and the photos will make your drool.
