Five Things To Consider Adding To Your Bucket List

We all have a bucket list, right? All those things we plan to experience or achieve in our lifetimes. Some of us are lucky to tick things off; others may just dream about the day they can. I like the idea of having something to look forward to and experiences that I want to share with my family. Let’s face it, making memories with my kids and family is what it’s all about. Having just taken a road trip with the kids, I am glad I have managed to tick that off my list already.

So I thought I would look into some of the most common things to add to your bucket lists. You might even find some inspiration for yourself.

  1. Build your own home – I would love the chance to build our family home, to know that every room and wall had been decided by my family and I. How amazing would it be? It take’s a lot of hard work, financial support and patience to build your own home. Having a developer like Amano Homes would be recommended to take some of the stress away. I think building our own home would be so exciting and something to consider adding to my bucket list. Would you build your own home?
  2. Travel the world – Wouldn’t it be nice to have sandy toes from distant beaches, wash your feet in faraway shores. Explore ancient ruins and learn new histories. Creating memories and learning as you go. Travelling the world is a real popular item on a bucket list. Sometimes people are more specific with the destinations, but if you could have the chance, you’d see it all wouldn’t you?
  3. Run marathons or take up new sports – This won’t be for everyone I don’t think. Dedicating yourself to a sport or achieving a goal such as completing a marathon takes a lot of determination. It must be satisfying to finally reach that end goal and achieve what you set out to do. I can imagine training for a marathon can take up a lot of time, so perhaps just starting a new sport would be something to consider instead.
  4. Pursue a passion – Going for something you believe in or passionate about takes courage. It is surprising that it sits high on someone’s bucket list. But I guess it’s the fear of the unknown. You might be passionate about a different career choice, but the risk of not paying the bills holds you back. You might want to take up a new hobby, but you fear what people might think or say. I guess those reasons alone could explain why it goes on to somebody’s bucket list. To have that goal at some point to do something you feel so strong about. Would you have the courage to do it?
  5. Do something extreme – This could be jumping out of a plane skydiving or swimming with sharks. Or maybe your definition of extreme is more like enjoying a hot air balloon ride or horseback riding. You won’t be surprised to hear that an extreme sport or action, whatever your definition may be, sits high on someone’s bucket list. What would you add to your list?

I have definitely started to think more about the future and the memories I wish to make. Compiling a bucket list and dreaming about the possibilities seems a good place to start.
