I keep seeing beautiful beaded bib necklaces on jewelry sites and Pinterest. I knew I had to have one! They are so easy to make, you can have one in any color you want! This one is for sale in my Etsy shop, if you aren’t inclined to make one yourself. I am making a silver and green one next, I think!
Materials:
25 or so beads (I used 6 mm pink agate)
Step 1: Cut the chain to desired length. Most statement necklaces range from 18 to 22 inches. Add your clasp.
Step 2: Fold the necklace in half. This is where the longest links will go.
Step 3: Make 9 links on head pins.
Step 4: Make 16 links on eye pins.
Step 5: Start first length of beads at the middle point of the chain.
Step 6: Add 4 eye pin beads and end with 1 head pin.
Step 7: Each strand will be 1 shorter than the one next to it.
Step 8: Move about 8 chain lengths before starting the next row (more or less depending on your chain and bead sizes).
Your beaded rows should look like this: 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1
PS – I party here!
This is really lovely. I would love it.
