  1. I just made this with some left over cotton yarn I had and it turned out great! I love using the hair rubber bands instead of having to add elastic after it’s done, this is the reason I chose to make this one. I always have extra hair ties!!Thank you for the pattern!

  2. After making one bag holder, I modified the pattern a bit — maybe it’s just the way my brain works. Rounds 1-3 I only ch 2. At the end of round 3, I placed a marker & then DC in each DC in rounds to row 27. Since the pattern is in rounds, I decided to skip the sl to ch & see what happened — no seam. After attaching the 2nd band, I sl around each sc, then ch 25, attach chain about an 1 in. from start of chain & sl across ch, then fasten off. That way I can put the shorter loop over the door knob.

  3. I took inspiration from your pattern and modified it using a fishnet stitch to make it airy — it came out rather prettily. Thanks for the original!

  4. Awesome! I’d love to see pics 🙂

  5. Hello there, great pattern!
I added this project and thumbnail to our site and linked to you. We are always looking for more back to school type crochet patterns as well as other crochet patterns, so if you have any similar projects please feel free to let me know.

  6. I have to say that I looked at like 30 different patterns for this kind of bag and yours was the only one that had the idea with the hair ties. My modification to the pattern is that I decided to use plarn instead of yarn. That way its a bag holder made out of the bags. It is turning out great and I just wanted to thank you for the pattern.

  7. I love the pattern. It is turning out great. I modified the pattern to use plarn so that the plastic bag holder was made out of bags. I looked at a whole bunch of other patterns and yours was the only one with the idea of the hair tie and it worked great. Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much for the pattern – cannot wait to try it and decided to sew some crochet flowers on the front – from top to the bottom of bag!

  9. I love this pattern! The idea to use hair ties is genius! Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I plan on making a few more and give them as gifts to my family.
