Allstate’s new “Good Hands for the Good Life” is a new and different point of view for an insurance company. Good Hands for the Good Life basically has a voice full of optimism and celebration rather than fearing an accident. Allstate’s commercial (see below) tells a story of while there are always risks everywhere in life, we don’t have to let that fear hold us back from making the best of our lives.
Who wants to spend their life worrying about an accident that may or may not occur. That is no way to live. Accidents happen, and that is just the way of life. Some people even believe that fearing an accident could lead to it’s occurence (have you ever heard of “the Secret?”) I am a personal believer of this, to some extent at least. So plan that road trip with your family, knowing you are in good hands should the unlikely “bad” event occur.
Here is a personal experience where this would have come into play. When I moved to (and subsequently from) Arizona to Pennsylvania, it was a daunting experience for my family. My parents had just separated and were planning to file for divorce. Since we lived there, we had to make the treck home (2 trecks as my parents were obviously not travelling together). This was a learning experience that we ultimately came out stronger from. It would be a perfect example of when travelling and not having to fear the unexpected.
