A Crib Mattress I Would Sleep On! {Newton Baby Wovenaire Crib Mattress Review} @newtonbabyrest

My daughter basically hates her crib. Every time I put her in, she cries. Due to being a preemie, colic and sensory processing disorder, my daughter is very particular and hard to please (and that’s putting it lightly). Our mattress came free with our crib from Babies R Us, a basic crib mattress. In the photo above, I have put them side-by-side for comparison. As you can see, the Newton Wovenaire® is thicker than the regular baby mattress and has mesh/breathable lining.

Features:

  • The mattress is completely breathable, which helps to allay any fears of the baby rolling over in the middle of the night and being unable to roll back or lift his or her head (something I admit I was terrified of, myself). Independent testing actually shows that babies can breathe right through the mattress, which greatly reduces suffocation risk.
  • The entire mattress is washable. That’s right, you heard me! You can throw the cover in the washing machine and wash the mattress base in the tub. I use a waterproof liner, so hopefully, I won’t need to test this feature (though it is wonderful to know, regardless!)
  • For those environmentally conscious mamas, there is no foam, latex or adhesives. It is 100% recyclable! This is better for the environment and for babies who have allergies. I always want to know what my baby is breathing in, don’t you?
  • Newton offers a 100-day risk-free trial. If you don’t love the mattress you can return it with free shipping.

I tested it myself before setting it up in the crib and it held my weight and was so comfy I’d totally sleep on it!

Remember my picky daughter? She loves it, and even enjoys bouncing around on it! We are currently transitioning from cosleeping back to the crib now that she seems to tolerate it!

I was lucky enough to receive a Newton Wovenaire® Crib Mattress in exchange for my honest opinion.
